PrizePicks NFL Player Props For Week 9: Puka Nacua & More
John Supowitz drops three NFL player props for PrizePicks for Week 9.
When you're following games this weekend, it’s exciting to set up a PrizePicks lineup, track the league's top players and cash out big.
Here are three players who should be in your PrizePicks lineup in Week 9.
Week 9 PrizePicks for NFL Player Props
Tee Higgins More Than 77.5 Receptions
Cincinnati nearly lost to a below-average Titans team. More concerning is the defense's collapse last week; it allowed 36 points to the Titans, double the 18.0 points per game (28th) Tennessee averaged this season.
The Bengals' talented offense will keep them competitive in the AFC North race. For the first time in a long time, all their top offensive players are healthy, which is likely why they rank second in the league in points per game (29.7) and offensive success rate (50.3%).
Tee Higgins is one of football's hottest receivers. He ranks second in the NFL in receiving yards (726) this season and has posted 148 or more receiving yards in three of his past four games.
This week the Bengals face the highly inconsistent Falcons. You never know what you’ll get from Atlanta from week to week. Not long ago, they scored 80 total points in two games, and last week they were shut out and had only 224 total yards.
This could be a tough game for Atlanta’s defense, as they has to guard one of the league's best wide receiver duos. The Falcons rank 20th in receiving yards allowed to wide receivers (1,189). This could be a game where Ja’Marr Chase and Higgins both finish with excellent stats.
Puka Nacua More Than 8 Receptions
The Rams have dug a huge hole early in the season with a 4-4 record, but they are still in contention.
The good news is that the Rams recently opened Myles Garrett’s practice window, so their defense could improve with him back in the lineup.
Davante Adams will not be back soon because of his ruptured hamstring, but they have Nacua, who has been getting a workload recently. Nacua ranks fourth in the league in receptions (56), and that’s with two missed games due to a groin injury.
This is because Matthew Stafford peppers him with targets, with at least 10 in four of his last five games, including 24 targets for 17 catches against the Bills.
This week the Rams face the Commanders, and although Washington is coming off a game in which it allowed just 10 points, it was against an injury-riddled Eagles. The Commanders are struggling to contain wide receivers, ranking 21st in receptions allowed to the position (88).
The Commanders are better at stopping the run, ranking 11th in rushing yards allowed per game (99.1), so the Rams may lean toward the pass.
Jahmyr Gibbs More Than 5.5 Receptions (Demon)
The Lions are playing at their best right now. They've won three straight, including against their division rivals, the Packers and the then-undefeated Vikings.
Their offense is the catalyst, ranking third in points per game (29.0) and fifth in EPA per play (+0.19).
You could argue that Gibbs drives the offense's success. He's not only one of the league's top running backs, but also one of the best overall players. He’s also one of the most utilized players, leading the league in touches (191), yards from scrimmage (1,058) and total touchdowns (10). Jared Goff looks to him weekly to move the ball, and during this three-game winning streak, Gibbs has two games with more than 150 rushing yards.
He’s also key in the passing game, with at least 4 catches in six of seven games. That is likely how he'll make an impact against the Dolphins, who rank 22nd in receptions allowed to running backs (37) and have allowed the most receiving touchdowns to the position. The Lions could exploit that weakness and give Gibbs the opportunity to make an impact as a pass catcher.
Detroit’s below-average defense ranks 23rd in points allowed per game (25.7), which could keep the Dolphins competitive and keep the Lions’ passing attack in play.
